On November 18th, six state troopers dragged Sue Altman of Working Families out of George Norcross’ hearing in Trenton. Sue had been quietly attending the proceedings and was targeted by law enforcement, in the opinion of those who attended, because of Sue’s work raising concerns about Norcross and corruption on Twitter.

Sue has also been doing important community organizing on the ground in Trenton and Camden to advocate for residents. The incident has gained local and national attention, and it’s important that all New Jersey residents understand the dangers of Norcross’ efforts to control New Jersey politics though he is not an elected official.

Corruption and efforts to silence New Jersey residents are never acceptable; the treatment of Sue Altman at the hearing was an effort to shut down honest conversation online.
