What’s the problem with the Democratic Party?

According to multiple sources, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is in a state of turmoil. Union leaders who belonged to DNC for many years have resigned in frustration with the lobbyists and consultants who set the party’s status quo agenda. This agenda fails to address the widespread voter discontent with the Democratic party that drove the loss in the last presidential election. So what might Democrats be doing to cause this frustration?

For one, they have nothing to say about the genocide in Gaza. Targeting and killing civilians is criminal whether done by Hamas or Israel. More than 50,000 dead, schools and hospitals destroyed, and now a plan for permanent military occupation. If Democrats don't believe this is genocide, they need to consult a dictionary. It is genocide.

The Democrats also have nothing to say about immigration, perhaps because they are no better than Republicans on this critical issue. The comprehensive plan that the Democratic Party put forward in 2024 contained money to complete the wall, billions more for ICE and the border patrol, and billions for more detention camps. The bill failed not because Republicans opposed it, but because it would have diluted Trump's anti-immigrant campaign focus. After all, Biden deported more immigrants in his four years than Trump did in his first term and, had the bill passed, Democrats would claim that they were tougher on immigration than Trump.

The party also has a problem with Healthcare; the leadership cannot bring itself to say the words “medicare for all“. Instead, they say it should be “more accessible” or “more affordable“, but “medicare for all“ seems to get stuck in their throat. Medicare for all is widely popular across the country with both Democrats and Republicans. The problem I assume lies in the fact that the HMO‘s and Big Pharma donate millions to the Democraticparty to ensure that the dysfunctional healthcare system remains intact.
